Each month we receive a selection of the best, hand chosen, cigars delivered to our door via Hemingway. This is what we got this month!
Camacho Broadleaf Toro (2023)
Origin: Honduras (Diadema Cigars de Honduras S.A.)
Wrapper: Honduran Broadleaf
Binder: Honduran
Filler: Dominican & Honduran
Another new edition (late 2023) from Camacho (owned by Davidoff); this Honduan-heavy Broadleaf cigar is a huge hit. Medium-plus strength, a great new addition to the Camacho line-up.
Crowned Heads La Imperiosa Magico Robusto (2023)
Origin: Nicaragua (My Father Cigars S.A.)
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
This is the regular production name of the first and most infamous Crowned Heads cigar - the Las Calaveras 2014! If you were lucky enough to be a customer of mine back in 2014, then you would've had the pleasure of enjoying the original Las Calaveras that most certainly cemented Crowned Heads fame. Of course THEY HAD to make that cigar into a regular production, it was beyond outstanding. This full-bodied, FULL-FLAVOUR Robusto is the ultimate after dinner cigar.
HVC Cerro Natural Robusto Gordo (2021)
Origin: Nicaraguan (Aganorsa Leaf)
Wrapper: Nicaraguan Corojo'98
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
This is cigar pays tribute to El Cerro, one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Havana, Cuba. Created by Cuban-born roller & master blend and HVC brand owner Reinier Lorenzo the HVC Cerro Natural Robusto Gordo uses the finest leafs from Aganorsa's vast inventory to create this masterpiece cigar. This is a Nicaraguan puro and showcases Reinier's amazing skills and his longstanding partnership with Aganorsa Leaf.
Rocky Patel Decade Torpedo (2022)
Origin: Honduran (El Paraiso)
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Sumatra
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
One of Rocky Patel's core lines, the Decade is a blend that took 10 years to perfect. Using rare, grade-A Sumatran wrapper over a Nicaraguan blend; this is a "quiet sleeper" of a cigar. Rated at 95-points by Cigar Aficionado, a cigar deserving of such a great score. These are regular, but limited production cigars.
Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Twisted Toro (2022)
Origin: Dominican Republic (Tabacalera de Garcia S.A.)
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade and Habano
Binder: Nicaragun
Filler: Dominican & Nicaraguan
This medium-bodied barber-pole cigar from Altadis U.S.A. is a great weekend afternoon cigar. Before we got slapped with the injunction from Habanos S.A. and Cubatabaco we purchased these on a regular basis and they sold really well. So these have been resting in the humidor since 2022, aging a little longer for your enjoyment
