Caldwell Lost & Found Buck 15 (2016 Vintage)

Origin: Dominican Republic (undisclosed) Wrapper: Aged Navarette HVA Binder: Dominican Republic Habano Filler: Dominican Republic aged

These were rolled in 2016 and discovered by Caldwell's Lost & Found program in 2021; we've had them in the humidor for well over a year now.

Medium bodied, definitely have this first before any other cigar or you will loose the subtle complexities.

Cuba Aliados Torpedo by E.P. Carrillo

Oliva' purchased the Cuba Aliados, Puros Indos & Roly brands in August 2021 and has so far set out to re-release the Cuba Aliados brand.

Firstly Ernesto Perez-Carrillo has "re-done" the blend with his own take on the classic - back in the day Rolando Reyes Sr. was the man behind Cuba Aliados, Puros Indos & the Roly Honduran cigar brands.

It was once said they didn't need Sales Reps as the cigars simply sold themselves; they were literally stocked by every tobacconist in the greater United States of America.

Sadly after Rolando Reyes Sr.'s death, his son did not handle the business well and it was eventually shuttered until Oliva came along and purchased the core brand rights.

Side note - Rolando Reyes Sr. was where Dr Gaby Kafie started out all those years ago, again up until the passing of Rolando Reyes Sr. and the move to start his own Honduran factory.

El Rey del Mundo Toro BP by A.J. Fernandez (Limited Edtion)

Origin: Nicaragua Wrapper: Nicaraguan Habano Binder: USA Connecticut Broadleaf Filler: Nicaraguan

Released mid-year this Limited Edition from A.J. Fernandez for Forged Cigar Co. (part of STG and sister to General Cigar Co.).

The tasty-edge comes from the Broadleaf binder.

Only 38,000 cigars ever produced.

J.C. Newman El Baton Double Torpedo (tweaked blend)

Origin: Nicaragua (J.C. Newman PENSA) Wrapper: Nicaraguan Binder: Nicaraguan Filler: Nicaraguan

Drew Newman (grandson) said he was unsatisfied with the El Baton blend and it was "flying under the radar" so he decided to tweak the blend.

From the couple I've smoked, he's done a damn fine job indeed!

El Baton is one of J.C. Newman's oldest brands - dating back to 1914; it was re-introduced in 2008 and was their first Nicaraguan puro.

Full-bodied, with bucketloads of flavour - they've done a great service to this historic brand.

La Gloria Cubana Society Cigar Toro (brand new release)

Origin: Dominican Republic (El Credito) Wrapper: Honduran Olancho San Agustin Binder: Honduran Jamastran Filler: Honduran Jamastran and La Entrade

Brand new Limited Edition release from Forged Cigar Co. and General Cigar Co.

This Honduran puro is epic, Honduran savoury-ness; this box-pressed Toro last a solid three hours while I watched some TV with the wife.

In total 50,000 cigars have been released.
