Micallef Colour Series #660 Gordo (2026) Provenance: Nicaragua Factory: Micallef Wrapper: Mexico (San Andres Sumatra-seed) Binder: Nicaragua Filler: Dominican Republic, Honduras, Mexico & Nicaragua Vitola: Gordo (6” by 60) Strength/Profile: Medium The elusive Gordo vitola! The new Colour Series has been a huge hit and rightfully so! The Micallef Colour Blend Bundles from Micallef Cigars open with a straightforward mix of earth, gentle spice, and soft natural sweetness, settling into a balanced, medium-bodied profile that stays consistent from start to finish. The character is approachable but still layered enough to keep each draw interesting, with a clean, steady finish. These cigars are built using a mixed long and short fillers (a Cuban sandwich), combining select tobaccos from the Colour Series production runs. Rolled in Estelí, Nicaragua, they use a Mexican Sumatra wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder, offering a practical, everyday expression of the brand’s core quality without overcomplicating the experience. |
My Father Cigars Le Lealtad Torpedo (2026) Provenance: Honduras Factory: My Father Cigars Factory Honduras Wrapper: Ecuador (Habano) Binder: Nicaragua Filler: Honduras & Nicaragua Vitola: Torpedo (6 1/8” by 52) Strength: Medium This new release from My Father Cigars is named after the Spanish word for “loyalty,” honoring the relationships and values that helped build the company’s legacy. This cigar is crafted in My Father’s new Honduran factory, using a warm Ecuadorian sun-grown over Honduran binder and fillers. La Lealtad adds a more medium-bodied take to My Father’s Honduranproduction line. Pepper, cedar, earth, and roasted coffee lead the profile of the My Father La Lealtad, backed by a natural sweetness from the Honduran tobacco and a long, balanced finish. Medium-to-full-bodied, it delivers the rich flavor seasoned smokers expect from the Garcia family. |
Rocky Patel Thirtieth Anniversary Toro (2025) Provenance: Nicaragua Factory: Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A. Wrapper: Mexico (San Andrés) Binder: Nicaragua Filler: Honduras & Nicaragua Vitola: Toro (6 1/2" by 52) Strength: Medium To celebrate Rocky Patel's Thirtieth year in the cigar industry Rocky released a new cigar and a bloody expensive one at that too! US$342 for a box of 10 cigars! This medium-bodied cigar is complex and certainly engaging; very smooth as you'd expect due to the extremely aged tobaccos he has used in the milestone cigar. |
1988 Cigars YT Gordo Connecticut, Habano or Maduro (2026) Provenance: Nicaragua Factory: R&R Cigars Wrapper: Ecuador (Connecticut Shade) or Ecuador (Habano Maduro) or Nicaragua Habano Binder: undisclosed Filler: undisclosed Vitola: Gordo (6” by 60) Strength: Medium This is a new cigar brand from Yader Toval (YT) formerly of Joya de Nicaragua; not a great amount of detail has been released yet; but we've smoked these Gordo's in my Cave last week and they were tasty and medium-bodied. |
