Hey team, Don José here back with another review.
Today we have the
SUAVE Natural by LFD

If this is your first time here, my reviews rate each cigar on 10 factors and each factor gets a rating out of 10 giving me an overall out of 100. The 10 factors are: Construction, Draw, Burn, Flavour, 1/3 overall, 2/3 overall, 3/3 overall, Journey (how well it flows), Complexity & Value for money.
Overview

Over 30 years ago LFD debuted with their 'La Flor Dominicana Premium Line'. Since then they have release dozerns of fantastic cigars including the incredible Andalusian Bull. The Premium line was rebranded to Suave and in 2025 LFD decided it was time to refresh that line with a new blend and look.
In early September 2025, the new Suave was released, returning in bright, vibrant red, yellow and gold packaging and with updated blend profiles for its two variations, the Suave Maduro, and this cigar the Suave Natural.
Details:
Size: Maximo 6x54

About the Wrapper.
Corojo
Popular releases like Rocky Patel The Edge use the Corojo (core-ro-ho) leaf that originated in Cuba, but today is grown in Honduras and in Western Kentucky and even a little in Dominican Republic.
Cubans used the leaf for wrappers that carried a significant level of spice, but the susceptibility of the Corojo leaf to disease led the Cubans to abandon it and develop hybrids like Habano 2000. Honduras grows pure Corojo, but hybrids are grown in many other regions.
let's get into the review.
First thoughts
This is a great looking cigar; a classic look, good size, fantastic looking wrapper. Im excited to get into it.
The Cold Draw:
A bit of pepper and natural tobacco with a hint of dough.
Construction
Construction is perfect
Burn & Draw Burn and Draw are fantastic, plenty of smoke
Flavour & Complexity Pepper, wood, sweetness and cream
Strength
Medium, 60%
Enjoyment / Journey Outstanding cigar and I expect nothing less from LFD especially on a update of this line.
Overall A fantastic cigar for fans of a good bodied mid strength cigar. While at the time of writing this there are no 'buy now' options in NZ for this cigar, I'd suggest an email to Canteros might get you some sooner than later.
I rate this cigar 92 points
