Argentum
by Ave Maria.

"Witness Ave Maria’s dark side."
This is a great looking cigar and visually pulls you towards it in the humidor but that's not that that made me choose to review it today. The thing that I'm excited about most for this stick, is the fact that it's described as the dark side of Ave Maria!
For those that don't know the original Ave Maria cigar is a masterpiece, produced at AJ Fernandez’s factory in Nicaragua and taking out huge scores in reviews around the world. For me, the only let down on the original was that it was a little mild for my palate... so lets just say I'm expecting great things from this cigar..
Ave Maria is a joint effort blend by Alan Rubin of Alec Bradley and Nimish Desai of Rocky Patel, this vitola especially has a very Nimish way about it.

let's get into the review.
First thoughts
This is a dense little perfecto with a tapered but open foot, it has a similar shape as the FiftyFive but slightly longer. The band takes up most of the cigar so i guess thats going to be coming off pretty fast. Strong Cedar on the cold draw.
Construction
Construction is great. The wrapper appears quite thick which seems to have made the tight corners a little difficult to roll in this sample but its held shape and has no air leaks.
Burn & Draw Despite physically feeling like its made of concrete, this stick has an exceptional draw and the burn line is on point.
Flavour & Complexity Ohhh yes. coffee, dark chocolate, wood and spice building throughout. This is one damn tasty cigar!
Strength Full strength and body approx. 86%
Enjoyment / Journey I had expected amazing things from this cigar and it did not disappoint!
Overall Another outstanding offering from the Ave Maria team and for me, the pick of their range to date.
I rate this cigar 92 points.
